Come experience Vancouver’s first Open Dome jam session in the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre’s Star Theatre planetarium dome! Watch or participate in the jam with artists from across the European Union and Western Canada here as part of this year's SCI_ART programme. Throughout the night we will be actively curating a jam session where musicians, theatre-makers, and digital artists riff, improvise, and merge their crafts into something entirely new.
Expect an evening full of fun and experimental work as different creative practices collide. This will be the first time that many artists get a chance to put their work on a dome screen so there are likely to be some moments of chaos and technical difficulties.
How to participate:
We’re looking to feature all kinds of live and pre-recorded art, including:
Short dome films
Live VJs
Interactive installations (easy to set up)
Live music
Dance performances
Short DJ Sets
etc.
If you’re a Curious Audience member: Save Your Spot by registering here on Luma. See you on October 4th!
If you’re a Bold Artist with something to share: Join the jam by registering here on Luma and filling out this form to help us plan the evening: forms.gle/5BNWyYBjcAhY959V7
We may contact you for more details. We will have a limited number of spots available and will need to keep each slot short to make sure we can share as much work as we can. We will do our best to include as many participating artists as possible but cannot guarantee participation.
